On Thursday afternoon the Colorado Rockies announced that outfielder Sean Bouchard (right ankle sprain) and first baseman/designated hitter Kris Bryant (left rib contusion) were being placed on the 10-day injured list.
Bouchard sprained his right ankle in the waning innings of the series finale against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon. The 28-year-old UCLA product has appeared in 25 games for the Rockies this season while hitting .203/.318/.324 over that time.
Bryant—ho has been plagued by injuries throughout his Rockies tenure—was originally said to have aggravated his existing back issues after getting caught in the foul line netting at Dodger Stadium earlier in the week against Los Angeles Dodgers.
