Rockies’ all-star third baseman Nolan Arenado abruptly exited the game during the bottom of the fourth inning against the Dodgers on Friday night at Coors Field.
Colorado manager Bud Black told the ATT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain broadcast crew that Arenado felt discomfort in his right shoulder following a 3-5-3 double play in the top of the third.
“On the double play, he tweaked his shoulder and we’re taking him out because of precautionary reasons,” Black said. “(Trainer) Keith Duggar thinks he’s going to be okay.”
Arenado’s injury was then officially announced by the Rockies as right shoulder soreness.
