Denver, CO

For six innings, it looked like it was going to be easy.

The Rockies offense was firing on all cylinders and Chad Bettis was mowing down Diamondbacks with ruthless efficiency. Colorado led 7-1 going into the seventh inning and were nine outs away from winning their first home game since April 22 in a blowout. Of course, this is Coors Field we're talking about. Nine outs is an eternity. The thousands of kids at the park for science day who went home early didn't miss a change in the result, but they missed a whole lot of drama.
