NASHVILLE ,TENN. — Seeking to bolster their weak bullpen, the Rockies signed veteran free-agent right-hander relievers Jason Motte and Chad Qualls on Tuesday.
Motte, 33, went 8-1 with a 3.91 ERA in 57 games with the Chicago Cubs in 2015. Motte spent time on the disabled list in the second half of the season because of shoulder soreness.
Qualls, 37, went 3-5 with a 4.78 for the Houston Astros.
