Today, the Rockies announced that they have signed Zac Veen, their first-round draft pick.
Veen, with a slot value of $4,949,100, signed for $5 million as first reported by Carlos Collazo of Baseball America.
In signing with the Rockies, the Spruce Creek HS (FL) graduate will opt out of his commitment to play for the University of Florida.
Veen works out daily with Brendan Rodgers and Drew Butera, who have told told him tales of Coors.
