Changes are in store for some Rockies minor league players in 2017.
While Glenallen Hill returns to Albuquerque for his fifth season as the franchise’s Triple-A manager, there will be two new managers at lower levels, the Rockies announced Thursday.
Catching guru Jerry Weinstein will be the manager at Double-A Hartford (Conn.) and Scott Little was named manager for Class-A short season Boise (Idaho) Hawks. Last year, Weinstein was a special instructor to player development and through this spring manager will manage Team Israel for the World Baseball Classic. Little was Boise’s hitting coach last year.
Hill’s coaching staff at Albuquerque will feature some different faces.
