SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Star third baseman Nolan Arenado, whose long-term contract status makes him a newsy topic, has been the media’s No. 1 target this week at Rockies spring training.
But who’s next on the list? Colorado center fielder Charlie Blackmon? Denver native and staff ace Kyle Freeland? Nope.
The answer is South Korean relief pitcher Seunghwan Oh. He has a personal posse of more than a dozen reporters and cameramen who have been following his every move over the last few days.
“Baseball is incredibly popular in Korea, and Seunghwan is one of the most popular players,” explained Jeff Hoo-Lim, a native South Korean who now lives in Denver.
