Rockies starter Jon Gray climbed the club strikeout ranks Sunday.
The right-hander fanned Zach McKinstry to end the Dodgers’ third inning, posting the 774th strikeout of his career — moving him one ahead of Ubaldo Jimenez for second place in club history.
Gray, who allowed just six hits and two runs, struck out seven on the day to get to 779 for his career.
Jorge De La Rosa owns the Rockies record with 985.
“I’m blessed to have that opportunity,” Gray said postgame. “I know it’s a while to catch De La but I’ll be ready and looking forward to it.
