NEW YORK — Neil Walker brought the high-flying Rockies back down to earth Sunday afternoon at Citi Field.
The Mets’ second baseman crushed a two-out, three-run homer off reliever Boone Logan in the seventh, propelling to New York to a 6-4 victory and halting Colorado’s five-game winning streak. Walker’s 17th homer of the season was the first home run served up by Logan, but it wasn’t the long ball that hurt Logan. He issued walks to Alejandro De Aza and James Loney to light the fuse to the Mets’ rally.
