CHICAGO — Mike Dunn stood in front of his locker in the visiting clubhouse at Wrigley Field ahead of the team’s series finale against the Cubs, his left shoulder pulsating from an electrical muscle stimulation device.
Unfortunately for the veteran southpaw, Dunn wasn’t using the device as part of his usual recovery routine. The Rockies sent the 34-year-old to the 10-day injured list Thursday with inflammation in his left shoulder, the same one he had season-ending A/C joint surgery on in 2018.
“I played a little long toss yesterday and I felt some discomfort in the A/C joint again,” Dunn said.
