On the mound: No. 1 prospect Chase Dollander had a lousy afternoon. The right-hander yanked his fastball and it cost him. In just 1 2/3 innings, Dollander gave up five runs on two hits and four walks. He needed 50 pitches. His spring ERA ballooned to 12.15. … Hard-throwing right-hander Victor Vodnik, competing for the closer job, gave up two runs on two hits in his inning of work. … The two other closer candidates fared better. Veteran right-hander Tyler Kinley struck out two in his perfect inning and has not been scored on this spring.
