DENVER — The Colorado Rockies have recalled infielder Ryan McMahon from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned Noel Cuevas.
This will be McMahon’s third stint with the Rockies this year. So far he has hit .211/.283/.337 with a pair of home runs in 95 at bats. McMahon had heated up with Albuquerque, hitting .320/.352/.621 in July.
“I figured out a couple of things that were flawed in my swing and I was able to fix them,” McMahon said.
Rockies manager Bud Black said that McMahon’s Triple-A performance along with the string of right-handed pitching the team is set to face are what motivated the move.
