Lancaster is a known as perhaps the friendliest hitting environment in all affiliated baseball. The JetHawks took advantage on Friday night, treating the hometown crowd to a 20-1 thrashing of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Everyone contributed to the effort, but PuRP members Vince Fernandez (no. 28) and Tyler Nevin (no. 12) had especially encouraging nights. Fernandez finished 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double, four RBI total; heading into Friday he was hitting .284/.382/.548 in 92 games this season. Nevin had a three-hit night, including a double, three runs, and five RBI. He was hitting .315/.362/.486 in 72 games, ten shy of his professional career high.
