Kevin Padlo nearly earned Top Star honors but was supplanted by the player who notched a walk-off hit.
Colorado Rockies prospects combined for six hits in the Pioneer League-Northwest League All-Star Game, which was played at the home of the NWL's Spokane Indians on Tuesday.
It was a rare All-Star Game that featured players from the same organization on both sides. Representing the Pioneer League were Grand Junction Rockies outfielders Daniel Suero and Jensen Park, both of whom showed well offensively. Suero led all Pioneer League hitters with a pair of doubles. Park added a single in two trips to the plate.
