It was a busy night on the farm for Rockies pitching prospects, as Peter Lambert, Ryan Rolison, and Ryan Castellani (PuRPs #2, #4, and #7, respectively) all pitched well for their clubs. Rolison—in limited action again—clipped the Chukars over three innings, giving up one earned run on three hits, a walk, and struck out four. It was his fifth consecutive start giving up one earned run or less and he now has a 2.08 ERA in twenty-six innings.
Lambert, having a hard time adjusting to Triple-A batters so far, had a great bounce-back performance by tossing six scoreless innings, and Castellani pitched strong, as well, giving up three runs over six innings while striking out seven.
