Tyler Nevin (no. 12 PuRP, for now) might be one of the more forgettable Rockies first round draft picks of the last five years. He was taken 38th overall in 2015 and had a good-not-great debut in Grand Junction. He played just one game in 2016 and then 82 in 2017 while battling various injuries. While he’s still been on the DL twice for Lancaster, he is having a much more consistent season in 2018.
He was perfect at the plate on Friday, collecting four hits in four at bats, including a solo home run in the eighth inning to give the JetHawks a two run cushion.
