After making ten starts in Albuquerque, Rico Garcia (no. 12 PuRP) earned his first win as an Isotope. Garcia has had an up and down half season in Albuquerque, posting a 7.49 ERA in those ten starts and only striking out 38 so far. Comparatively, he posted a 1.85 ERA in 13 starts with Hartford and struck out 87 batters. Garcia hasn’t been terrible, but he’s been mostly running into some bad luck. He has four losses, but five no decisions. This start against Round Rock was Rico’s best start since his first start on June 21, and his best start at home this season.
