Despite only playing two games this week, Isotopes catcher Dom Nuñez (no. 30 PuRP) made the most of it. On July 12 he went 0-for-4, but on July 14 he went 3-for-4 with two home runs, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. He had nine total bases that day. The two home runs marked Nuñez’ third multi-homer game and his second in an Isotopes uniform. It also marked his first multi-hit game since June 24 when he went 3-for-5, scored a career-high four runs, and was a triple shy of the cycle. Nuñez ranks fourth on the team in home runs, and third among Isotopes who have yet to make their MLB debut (Pat Valaika has 18 home runs).
