Lancaster JetHawks starting pitcher David Hill took a no hitter through five innings in his first start of the season. The 2015 fourth round draft pick hit one batter and walked the next batter in the bottom of the first inning, but went on to strike out the next three and eight total in the ballgame. The JetHawks pitching staff as a whole accounted for only two hits (one of which was a two run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning) and twelve strikeouts.
Tourists’ first baseman Chad Spanberger (no. 29 PuRP) had himself quite the day as well in Asheville, going 2-for-4 with two homers in the Tourists’ loss.
