David Dahl and Raimel Tapia both had excellent games for the Hartford Yard Goats yesterday, as both outfielders continue their development in Double-A. Raimel Tapia went 2-4. Tapia is now hitting .306/.347/.435 for Hartford. Notably, Tapia got off to a slow start this year. He was hitting .214/.272/.340 on May 6. Since then, however, he has taken off. The turnaround shows that Tapia is able to make adjustments to his pitching level. He's a known tinkerer at the plate, and success in Double-A bodes well for his success at higher levels. While Tapia is on the 40-man roster, he's still unlikely to get major-league playing time this season before September.
