A plethora of Rockies prospects were in action on Tuesday night in their respective league All-Star Games.
Nine players from the first-half division champion JetHawks participated in the California League All-Star game, including five in the starting lineup. Brendan Rodgers (no. 1 PuRP), who will be promoted to Double-A Hartford this week, said goodbye to the Cal League in style with an RBI double and a run scored. Garrett Hampson (no. 22 PuRP) went 2-for-5 with two runs scored while Wes Rogers, Sam Hilliard, and Mylz Jones all added hits.
Meanwhile, the South Atlantic League couldn’t finish their All-Star Game due to rain, so they pulled a Bud Selig and called it a tie.
