This time, it was a 6-4, 10-inning win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday afternoon at Chase Field. It completed a three-game sweep and marked Colorado’s eighth consecutive victory over Arizona, a franchise record.
Catcher Chris Iannetta played hero this time around, banging a bases-loaded, two-run single off the center-field wall off Yoshihisa Hirano. Colorado jammed the bases on a walk by Ian Desmond, single by Brendan Rodgers and another walk by David Dahl.
