The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed infielder Ryan McMahon on the 10-day injured list with a left elbow sprain. He suffered the injury in the ninth inning of yesterday’s game after a throwing error by Nolan Arenado caused a collision with A.J. Pollock. Thus far, McMahon has gone 5-for-25 with three runs scored, two doubles, one RBI and four walks over his first seven games.
In his place, the Rockies have recalled infielder Josh Fuentes from Triple-A Albuquerque to make his major league debut.
