The Rockies made a roster move on Tuesday in Houston ahead of the start of their six-game road trip, placing reliever Scott Oberg on the paternity list and recalling infielder Garrett Hampson from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.
Oberg is 7-0 with a 3.12 ERA this season and has emerged as a more critical component of the Colorado bullpen since coming back from a back strain on June 27.
The right-hander is set to welcome his first child into the world; he and his wife, Diana, elected to wait to find out the gender until birth.
