Tyler Anderson was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque, the club announced. Anderson has struggled so far in 2019, posting an 0-3 record and 11.76 ERA in five starts — 27 earned runs in 20 2⁄3 innings. None of those starts have lasted more than five innings. He has given up a team-leading eight home runs, but has walked 11 and struck out 23. Anderson spent time on the injured list from April 7-22 and since being back, he has given up six of those eight homers and hasn’t lasted more than four innings in a game.
