Fresh off of the franchise’s first back-to-back postseason appearances, oddsmakers were optimistic of the Rockies’ chances in 2019.
In February, the team entered the 2019 season at 18-to-1 odds to win the World Series. After hitting the all-star break with a record of 44-45, oddsmakers are less confident of Colorado’s chances.
The Rockies had 66/1 odds, according to Bovada on Sunday, the 17th best among major league teams. Colorado is eighth among National League teams to win the NL pennant at 30/1, and second to win the NL West at 40/1 odds, well behind the heavily favored Dodgers (1/75).
