Nothing is stopping Nolan Arenado these days. Not opposing pitchers, near-freezing temperatures or May snowflakes.
Well, nothing except a botched replay review by the big-league crew looking at video in New York.
After launching a two-run home run through the snow in the first inning of the Rockies’ 12-11 win over San Francisco Thursday afternoon at Coors Field, Arenado came to the plate looking for more in the second. He ripped Derek Holland’s slider deep down the left-field line for an apparent home run.
Much to Arenado’s consternation, third-base umpire Ted Barrett called the ball foul.
