SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Rockies all-star third baseman Nolan Arenado is more concerned about powering home runs than he is about his tempestuous relationship with general manager Jeff Bridich.
After a cold war of words this winter, the two of them have yet to sit down and talk during spring training, something Bridich indicated would likely happen at some point. But Arenado said Tuesday that such a meeting is not a big deal.
“We probably will (meet),” Arenado said after smashing a two-run, first-inning homer to left off Cubs left-hander Jose Quintana. “I see him in the hallways and have said hello and all of that kind of stuff, but he’s busy.
