The Rockies lost their second straight against the Padres to open the second half.
The Rockies lost 5-4 to the Padres in a seesaw game in which the Rockies never actually had the lead.
Chad Bettis turned in a decent outing. He gave the Rockies six innings, during which he allowed three runs on three hits and three walks. Bettis struck out five. The walks really hurt Bettis. After allowing a solo home run to Austin Hedges in the bottom of the third, Bettis didn't allow much until the sixth inning, when the game was tied at one.
