Like last night, the Rockies lost to the Mets 14-to-9. Also like last night, a lot of the damage came against the starting pitcher.
Chris Rusin got hit hard tonight. He lasted just two-plus innings and gave up 12 runs on 11 hits. In relief, Justin Miller allowed three more runs. The rest of the bullpen kept the Mets scoreless, but it hardly mattered. As opposed to last night, when Yoenis Cespedes dismantled the Rockies with three dingers and a mess of bases, the damage was evenly distributed tonight.
