Rockies lose to Arizona for seventh consecutive defeat at Coors Field

The closest the Rockies came to producing any real offensive fireworks on chilly Tuesday night came in the seventh inning when Gerardo Parra ranted and raved after getting rung up on a checked swing.

And so, the Rockies lost 5-1 to the Arizona Diamondbacks, who received a dominating performance from right-hander Rubby De La Rosa. He pitched 7 u2153 innings, allowing one run on just four hits. He whiffed six and walked one.

It was Colorado's seventh consecutive defeat at Coors Field, a place where they now own a dispiriting 4-10 mark. For history's sake, the franchise record for consecutive home losses is nine, set July 25 to Aug.
