Ryan Rolison is injured again.
The Rockies’ top left-handed pitching prospect was placed on the 60-day injured list Monday with a shoulder strain. Last season, Rolison was limited to 16 games in the minors because of a case of appendicitis, followed by a broken bone in his throwing hand.
In another roster move, Colorado selected the contract of left-hander pitcher Ty Blach, a Regis Jesuit High School graduate. He’s penciled in as a long reliever.
Also, the Rockies placed right-hander Peter Lambert on the 10-day IL with right forearm inflammation. Lambert, who underwent Tommy John surgery in July 2020, was a limited participant in spring training after he experienced pain in his right elbow shortly before camp opened.
