If Kyle Freeland’s 2018 season was like something out of a dream, his 2019 season has been closer to a nightmare. Freeland, however, would like you to know that 2018 was not a fluke, despite what some critics say.
“I know that since I was able to do that last year, I am capable of doing that again — or something similar,” the lefty said Thursday. “It’s not in my mind to think that in 2018 I was lucky on everything or that I pitched above my potential. It was none of that.
“It was about hard work, and sure there was a little bit of luck involved at times, but it was not a fluke at all.
