Jon Gray can’t do anything about the Rockies’ current freefall, but the right-hander has big plans for this winter and the 2020 season.
“The goal is to come in and be even more of a guy that people want to play behind; more of a guy that when they take the field, they know they’re going to win that day,” said Gray, who went 11-8 with a 3.84 ERA before a stress fracture in his left foot ended his season on Aug. 17.
“All the time, I play against people like (Zack) Greinke and (Clayton) Kershaw, those kinds of good starters,” he continued.
