Rockies fans can relax. Kyle Freeland’s health is fully intact.
The southpaw ace was seen stretching his left calf in the dugout under the watch of trainer Keith Dugger after exiting in the sixth inning of his start against the Diamondbacks at Coors Field on Thursday.
But Freeland said it was just a cramp, and that it wasn’t caused by legging out his RBI double in the first. He said the cramp started becoming an issue at the beginning of the sixth.
“I’ve had it one the mound a couple times before this season, but it’s nothing to have concern about,” Freeland said.
