The Rockies continue to shake up their coaching staff.
A source confirmed Tuesday that assistant hitting coaches Jeff Salazar and Tim Doherty are leaving the team.
Dave Magadan, 59, remains as Colorado’s hitting coach.
As reported Monday, longtime head pitching coach Steve Foster is stepping down from that position to spend more time with his family and to be able to watch his daughter, Lauren, play her final season of softball at the University of Wisconsin.
Foster, however, will remain with the Rockies organization as the director of pitching. He’ll take on a role similar to the one that was filled by Mark Wiley, 73, who plans to retire after 52 years in pro baseball as a pitcher, coach and front-office official.
