Rockies hang on to beat Yankees behind Jorge De La Rosa, but Gerardo Parra injured

A gorgeous summer night. Five superb innings by reborn starter Jorge De La Rosa. Back-to-back home runs by Trevor Story and Ryan Raburn and 15 total hits up and down the order.

A stress-free game in the old ballpark for the Rockies, right? Not quite.

Although the Rockies held on to beat the Yankees 13-10 Tuesday night at Coors Field, they nearly squandered a 12-3 lead. A crowed of 46,335 was on hand, many of them Yankees fans screaming their lungs out, while Rockies fans held on with white knuckles.

Treating Colorado relievers Justin Miller and Miguel Castro as if they were batting practice pitchers, the Yankees cranked out seven runs on eight hits in the eighth inning.
