Rockies right-hander German Marquez left Monday’s game against the Cardinals just before the sixth inning with an apparent injury to his right arm. He was warming up when he was taken out of the game.
Marquez, an All-Star in 2021, appeared to be pointing to his right forearm as teammates came to the mound, and as manager Bud Black and head trainer Keith Dugger came out of the dugout to talk to him.
The Rockies were leading the Cardinals 4-2 when Marquez left the game. He started the game pitching very well, setting the Cardinals down in order in the first three innings.
