Colorado Rockies: Garrett Hampson has “no ceiling” heading into 2019 | Rox Pile
Garrett Hampson spent a very short time in Double-A in 2018 before his rapid rise to Triple-A and then to the Colorado Rockies. Still, as Kevin Henry of Rox Pile writes, Hampson left a lasting impression on Hartford Yard Goats Manager Warren Schaeffer. Schaeffer said that Hampson is “one of a kind” and “his teammates’ favorite player.”
With 2018’s everyday second baseman DJ LeMahieu headed to the New York Yankees, the Rockies will be relying on a combination of Hampson, Ryan McMahon and perhaps top prospect Brendan Rodgers to man the position in 2019.
