SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — As their lockers cleared and players walked the short trip down the hall and around the corner to the minor-league clubhouse at Salt River Fields, the Rockies have steadily approached a reckoning with their opening-day roster.
But big questions remain, namely who will occupy the final spot on the 25-man roster? And how will Colorado juggle its bullpen to keep arms in reserve?
Outfielder David Dahl, who will turn 24 on the day of the Rockies’ home opener in Denver, will not be part of the game. He was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
