Rockies fall in extra innings to Red Sox

BOSTON — This one’s gonna leave a mark.

After rallying from a 5-0 deficit, the Rockies lost 6-5 to the Red Sox on Wednesday night at Fenway Park when Michael Chavis ripped a walk-off single off Chad Bettis in the 10th inning to score Xander Bogaerts, who had led off the inning with a double.

Worse, all-star shortstop Trevor Story was injured on a ninth-inning collision with left fielder Raimel Tapia. They collided on the warning track as they, along with third baseman Nolan Arenado, chased down Mookie Betts’ blooping, ground-rule double to left.
