Carlos Gonzalez hammered a home run in the first inning Saturday at Coors Field with a swing that reminded everyone of his 2010 form as a batting champ who finished with career highs of a .336 batting average and 34 home runs.
In the ninth, he popped up a standard bloop.
He'll take the latter.
Gonzalez' arching single to center field with the bases loaded landed in the no-man's land of the expansive Coors Field outfield to push home Drew Stubbs for the game-winning run in the Rockies' 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves in front of 40,620 fans.
