The Rockies defeated the Phillies 5-2 today. The Rockies have now won six out of their last seven games, during which the pitching staff hasn't allowed the opposition to score more than four runs in a game.
Sleek. That's the word that comes to my mind when thinking about how to describe the Rockies' win today. There wasn't a lot of grinding. The Rockies didn't labor to get runs home. There was hard play, but they didn't get dirty. Instead, the Rockies got their first three runs like this: Nolan Arenado solo home run in the second; Michael McKenry solo home run in the second; Ben Paulsen solo home run in the seventh.
