Wade Davis is throwing once again following an oblique injury that has sidelined him since May 19, and the Rockies’ closer believes he’ll “be back pretty soon” based off how his rehabilitation is progressing.
Davis’ left oblique strain, suffered May 14 in Boston, resulted in the first trip to the injured list for the right-hander since he was with the Royals in 2016. But he started throwing again with light toss at 60 feet Sunday and advanced to medium-intensity catch at about 100 feet on Wednesday.
“I threw some fastballs today and they felt pretty good,” Davis said.
