Now that the ugly business of baseball is done, the Rockies are eager to get back to the business they love.
“I’m really stoked that baseball is back,” third baseman Ryan McMahon said. “It felt like a fog just lifted off of my life.”
The fog lifted Thursday afternoon when Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association reached a tentative agreement on a new collective-bargaining agreement, ending the owner’s 99-day lockout of the players and salvaging a full, 162-game season. The CBA was ratified by the owners Thursday evening.
