LOS ANGELES — Rockies all-star right fielder Carlos Gonzalez left Wednesday night’s game in the fourth inning after getting hit in the right hand by a pitch by Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
Gonzalez immediately dropped to the ground after getting hit and was in obvious pain. He was examined by team trainers and immediately left the game and was replaced by Stephen Cardullo.
Gonzalez has struggled to begin the season, hitting just .174 with one home run and two RBIs.
The Rockies and Dodgers were tied 1-1 when Gonzalez was injured.
