The Colorado Rockies bolstered their bullpen today by calling up Harrison Musgrave. The left-handed pitcher will add a fresh long reliever to the bullpen that has been stretched thin by short starting pitcher outings.
Musgrave has started three games for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes this season. In 102⁄3 innings, he’s struck out 10 and walked only 2. While he’s been a starter in Triple-A, he’ll be assuming Chris Rusin’s role as the second long reliever in the pen behind Antonio Senzatela. Rusin is being sent to the 10-day disabled list with a right intercostal strain.
