Rockies’ bullpen collapses again as Rangers rally for 7-5 lead

Facing their biggest homestand in years, the Rockies did a major pratfall at Coors Field.

Another bullpen collapse cost them Tuesday afternoon’s game against the Texas Rangers, who rallied for a 7-5 victory, the Rockies fifth loss in six games. Colorado finished the homestand 3-5 and wasted a terrific start by Tyler Chatwood. Those playoff aspirations dancing in the Rockies’ head entering last weekend are looking more and more like delusions of grandeur.

Texas, a playoff-tested team, posted its major-league best 35th come-from-behind win, rallying from a 5-1 deficit a day after scoring three in the ninth inning to win.
