MIAMI — Reminded about the Rockies’ losing legacy at Marlins Park, manager Bud Black dismissed the notion that his club can’t hit in South Florida. The Rockies, he said, were eager for a fresh start, eager to put all of that negative history behind them.
Maybe tomorrow.
After beating Miami 1-0 on Friday night with just seven hits, the Rockies lost 4-1 on Saturday night with only four hits and never showed much life against Miami left-hander Wei-Yin Chen.
The Rockies, who have never won two consecutive games at Marlins Park during the same season, are 5-14 in their last 19 games here.
