Non-roster invitees are always an intriguing part of Spring Training. They’re all players who are not on the 40-man roster but are given a chance to earn a spot and stick with that team. It’s also a chance to showcase some younger prospects and see how they do against stronger competition, push penciled-in starters with veteran players intent on taking their spot and for journeymen to find their next contract.
